When, after months, the scaffolding was removed at the end of the job, the restoration team were able to see austere but extremely elegant facade of the palace from 1899. The subtle tones of the original building re-emerged, striking an emotional chord and demonstrating the solidity of the original palazzo, now responding to the admiring  gaze of visitors  with its play of colours.
